Someone told me that I look tired. I told her I have kids, I think this is pretty much my face now. She looked stunned.
Just reply, “no, I’ve been crying” and watch them squirm. Or try this, open your eyes wide, exaggerate a big smile and say, ” is this better”. Now go get some rest.
