Snappy comebacks when someone calls you short

For some strange reason, average height people always want to let short people know that they’re short. It isn’t a surprise to us, we know, and feel like saying to you, “Wow, that’s news! I’ll alert the media!”

It’s not polite to point out that someone is overweight, or rather unfortunate looking with bad teeth, so why is it OK to point out that someone is short?

Yep, the short comments are annoying, so don’t feel guilty using one of our great comebacks below.

If you can think of an even better comeback for being called short leave it in the comments below.

Salma Hayek was teased for being short

Photo via Wikipedia

Even Salma Hayek was self-conscious of her height when she was younger.

I felt like Ugly Betty many, many times. I’m very short so when I was growing up, people made fun of me as if it was like a birth defect, a deformity… like I was in a circus or something. I think we all have something people point out to you when you’re a kid and then you point it out to yourself nonstop. – Salma Hayek

Things worked out OK for Salma, she certainly didn’t let her lack of height stand in her way.
