How to respond when you are told you need to lose weight

Great comebacks if you are told to lose weight

Nobody wants to hear in front of family or friends, “You need to lose weight!” Being told in an inconsiderate way that you are overweight from your partner or family can be humiliating.

If they told you to shed pounds out of genuine concern for your health, it may be something to consider. If your boyfriend suggests that you should go on diet because you would look better, all I can say is you might look better with a new boyfriend.

Here are a few snappy comebacks that you might find useful next time someone mentions your weight. Of course, it will depend on who makes the comment, and how they say it, but go ahead, tell us what you think is the best comeback.

I love my six pack so much I protect it with a layer of fat.
I try to avoid things that make me fat, like scales, mirrors and photographs.
I refuse to lose the weight because it wouldn't be fair to all the skinny girls if I were this intelligent, funny AND thin!
