When you find out that your friend’s boyfriend has cheated on her obviously you to be supportive and say a few kind words of comfort. You might be thinking in your head that you always knew the guy was a jerk or a total loser. What your friend needs is someone who can listen and support her but she may also need a wakeup call.

Your friend is probably in shock to find out that their partner, who they trusted, has betrayed them. Not only is the cheating traumatic, it is also a shock to find out that your person you thought you knew is really someone else.

Let your friend know that she is entitled to be furious, and what the guy did is not OK. Sometimes people start justifying behaviour and making excuses for someone.

The crazy thing is it doesn’t matter how beautiful, intelligent you are, 10 to 25 percent of relationships experience infidelity. Look at Khloe Kardashian, with serial cheater Tristan Thompson, even celebrities aren’t exempt.
